1. Confirm the agreed scope
Record the approved business model, provider, markets, payment methods and customer flow. Resolve differences between commercial expectations and technical implementation before launch.
2. Test the whole journey
Agree test cases for successful, failed, interrupted and pending payments, plus refunds and repeated notifications where relevant. Check both the customer experience and the internal order state.
3. Check operational access
Confirm that the right people can view reports, investigate transactions and manage refunds. Use access appropriate to their responsibilities and the provider’s available controls.
4. Plan the release
Identify the launch owner, support contacts, monitoring approach and a response plan for unexpected issues. Make sure production configuration follows the selected provider’s instructions.
5. Review after launch
Agree when the team will review early transactions, exceptions and reconciliation. Use observed issues to improve the documented workflow rather than assuming the launch ends the work.
Release criteria and production configuration must match the approved integration and provider instructions.
